I think the articles desciption of what should happen when the button goes out contradicts what happens on full tilt - check it out.

They talk of having the button be big blind for one hand were as Full Tilt just move the button two places and get the ball rolling.

OK got it - this time I'm not involved - after getting heads up again tonight the small blind went out so the footage was usless - I decided to watch a couple of games in running till someone went out in the big blind and here it is:

.

As you can see the button moves as normal - but the person in the small blind is small blind twice in a row.

As the articles are vague and at time contradict themselves I think we should go with these three transitions as standard. Full Tilt is a name we all know and trust - and it seems to make sense to me.

Using Full Tilt's Transitions preserves our long understood rule of - BIG BUTTON = small blind - for every heads up hand :D

Have posted this question on a few forums including TexasHoldem-Poker.com - here.

This is a nicely worded explaination that explains the Full Tilt transitions I have captured on video:

This isn't going to help much because I'm going to caveat it with "this may not be the perfectly correct way to do things............" but all we do in my home league games is work out who was just the BB and if it was one of the remaining two players, make them the SB. If the BB just busted, we just move the BB where it would have gone even if that means the SB is SB twice in a row.

There it is in bold - one sentence - easy!! Big thanks to Halfsugar! :)

I know this is off topic but just had to point it out. Out of the first 16 posts in this topic The Showgirl has posted 14

is this some sort of record!

Good effort though, we just need to make sure we have con concensus among everyone on what the ruling is (they probably won't give a shit and leave it up to us). Personally I'm fine with Halfsugar's suggestion and think we should adopt that going forward.

I don't believe it's a definitive answer as I don't think there is one! I'm convinced that there is no hard and fast rule for this and it's down to the tournament organiser to lay down the law.

I dunno - taking the piss cos I'm using the forum!

Anyhow, I'm used to talking to myself on here after everyone was at weddings and shit last week.

I do agree though - I think this is a subjective ruling - but this outcome we've reached at the mo seems the way forward.

Unless anything major comes to light through the forum posts I've made elsewhere I think we may have nailed it. :D

The difference being I've been posting new topics to spread the word about anything I think may be of interest, you've basically been having a chat with yourself!
