Thanks to my Android I have recently got back in to comics in a big way so I thought I would start a comic thread for all us geeks
I would love some comic recommendations from anyone who has an interest in them. I'm going to post a few of my own too.

THE WALKING DEAD




Rick Grimes is a cop in a small town who is in a coma after being shot whilst on duty. He awakes from his coma to find he is completely alone in the hospital and the world has been taken over by zombies. He just about manages to escape several near death confrontations and returns home to look for his family. When he arrives home he discovers that his son and his wife have fled to Atlanta as instructed by the Government. Rick heads for Atlanta to find his family and escape the undead apocalypse. He finds his family but they are not in Atlanta as the city is full of zombies!!

I admit I am a bit of a zombie fan so I absolutely love this but even if I was not I think I would still love it because the story slowly becomes less and less about the zombies and more and more about how the survivors interact with each other and the people they meet as they struggle to stay alive. Look out for The Governor!

It is really well written and I just can’t stop reading it I only started it about 3 weeks ago and I’ve already read 60 issues! It has some truly amazing cliffhangers that make it impossible to stop reading because you desperately need to know what happens to these people. There are some really emotional parts in there too.

It’s also being made in to a TV series with the guy who played Egg in This Life playing Rick!!
